Capcom is buttering up Dragon's Dogma 2 with a new and free update ahead of the release of its all-new expansion, Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen. This update will feature across all platforms and include new modes and other adjustments.
In addition to added features being used to support the arrival of the Dark Arisen expansion, there's a new Hard Mode available. The development team has also added a feature that allows players to carry over their current saved data and start the game from the beginning - similar to a New Game+ type of feature.
Pawns have also been outfitted with the Orienteer specialization, and other adjustments include an increase an the amount of rift crystals received when interacting with a forgotten relic from 30 to 90 as well as thermal properties to some armor.
Along with other various bug fixes, this update to Dragon's Dogma 2 also includes official support for PSSR on PlayStation 5, and DLSS has been updated to version 4.5 on Steam. The Dark Arisen expansion is due out on October 9.
