Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Targets Second Half of 2027 as Producer Addresses Player

Bandai Namco has confirmed that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is currently targeting a release in the second half of 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Producer Masayuki Hirano shared the updated release window in a message to fans, explaining that the development team is incorporating player feedback while preparing the game for launch and continued post-launch support.

The announcement narrows the previously confirmed 2027 release window for the first time. Bandai Namco also indicated that major updates about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will become less frequent until early 2027. The development team has been reviewing player feedback and survey responses, including suggestions for improvements to the upcoming sequel.

Hirano addressed the team’s ongoing discussions about player feedback and the decision to target the latter half of 2027. His full statement follows:

Today we shared more information about battle customization and PvE missions. I wanted to use this opportunity to deliver a message to our fans.

Over the past several months, we have continuously revealed new information to all of you and, in return, have received valuable feedback. We are truly grateful for that support. Based on the feedback and survey results we have gathered, we have already held discussions with the development team and announced certain areas where we intend to make improvements in response.

DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE is a series that we build together with the players through launch, and throughout its post launch life as well. To fully realize our ambitions for both the launch experience and the content we plan to operate and support afterward, the release window is currently set for the latter half of 2027.

We may keep you waiting a little longer until our next update, but we are fully committed to making 2027 a great year for DRAGON BALL game fans, and we will do everything we can to make that happen.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is being developed by Dimps and takes the series into Age 1000, featuring a new setting, original characters, and expanded fighter customization. Players can develop their custom characters through systems such as Soul Assist, Soul Switch, and Fighting Styles. The sequel also includes cooperative PvE missions alongside one-on-one and four-on-four PvP modes.
